Hon’ble Education Minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ Launches Calendar of ATAL online FDP 2021-22, 15 ATAL FDP begins

# AICTE has already conducted 948 online ATAL FDPs in 2020-21 on thrust areas and emerging areas that benefitted over one lakh participants, thereby making record amidst pandemic and obtaining their name enshrined in World Book of Record, London

 

# Inaugural ceremony of Calendar Launch for A/Y 2021-22 of ATAL FDP and 15 FDP beginning on 17th May for upgrading information of faculty members throughout the country amidst pandemic .

 

May 17, 2020: Emphasizing on implementation of new Education Policy across the country, the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), on Monday, inaugurated ‘ Calender 2021-22 for AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) in the presence of the chief guest Hon’ble Education Minister, Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ .

 

“I felt honoured to learn that in previous year the name of ATAL Academy was enshrined within the book World Book of Record, London. ATAL Academy took pandemic as a challenge and with success conducted 948 online FDPs within which over one lakh participants starting from faculty members, CBSE academics to business Persons, analysis students and PG students were benefitted. I appreciate the courageousness and conviction of Leaders of AICTE and ATAL Academy as in previous year i.e. in 2020-21 once whole country was beneath exhausting internment and there was complete disruption of offline education in India even therein state of affairs ATAL Academy achieved their aim. I’m certain that during this year too ATAL Academy can break its previous record and another time triumph within the field free online education and training for lakhs of participants,” said, Hon’ble Minister of Education Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’.

 

The FDP scheme is designed to enhance the teaching and other skills of the faculty, and to make them aware about modern teaching tools and methodologies. It provides an opportunity to acquire knowledge about current technological developments in relevant fields. It will not only promote the professional practices relevant to technical education but also motivates the faculty to achieve a competitive teaching and learning environment, thus channelizing development with respect to academic qualifications and personal matters” said, Anil D Sahasrabuddhe, Chairman, AICTE. He further mentioned the noble efforts have been made by AICTE during the covid period to help employees of AICTE and to the country at large.

A mobile application was also launched t which was demonstrated and developed by Dr Chandra Shekhar Buddha. This noble app may be used by educational institutions for heling their employee during Covid emergencies.

“As online teaching and learning has become a new normal because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the ATAL Academy set to conduct FDPs in on-line mode. AICTE has planned over 1300 online FDPs on thrust areas and emerging areas that aims to train 2 laks participants. it’ll facilitate faculty members to achieve information need in twenty first Century,” aforementioned M.P. Poonia, Vice Chairman, AICTE.

 

“Employability of engineers became a serious issue over time, as business finds that the scholars come back totally unprepared for his or her desires. AICTE has taken a noble initiative of bridging this gap by training faculty members that successively can guide students in new emerging areas said, Rajive Kumar, Member Secretary, AICTE.

Dr. Ravindra Kumar Soni, Director, ATAL Academies, said, “I would place on record that last year in March, AICTE aspired crisis into chances through its online academics training in rising areas with length being 5 days. Amid the Covid- 19 pandemic, faculty Development Program was conducted by ATAL Academy including courses in emerging fields and every one was conducted with success through eminent coordinators & distinguished institutes.”

Dr. Shyam Sundar Pattnaik, Director , NITTTR Chandigarh, Bhupendra Kainthola, Director, Film & Television Institute of India, Pune, Prof. Roopkishore Shastri, Vice Chancellor Gurukul Kangri (Deemed to be) University, Haridwar along with other officials of AICTE were also present on the occasion.
